Hey all. Just a quick note that I launched an official portfolio site. O__O Nothing too fancy and if you've followed along this blog, it's pretty similar stuff that you've probably already seen plus a couple small bonuses. Anyway, the new link is on the sidebar here in case anyone is interested.

Also, I'll be attending the CTNX this weekend (Nov. 18-20). I don't have a table or anything but if you see some artist fella walking around with a portfolio in hand, good chance that could be me -- feel free to say hello!

Pocket Brush Pen

Been messing around with this new pocket brush pen lately -- my new fave drawing tool at the moment! Great for staying real loose and gestural. Downside is that it runs out of ink FAST...though that could partially be my fault since I use it constantly. :\

And lastly, some quick animal sketches from the San Diego Zoo recently. Looked like there was another elementary school field trip taking place that day. I didn't realize the "artist exhibit" would be quite popular with the kids at the zoo. Talk about pandemonium! :\

In other news, as you can tell by the new Flickr stream on the right here, I jumped on the bandwagon and took up digital photography a couple months ago. So I just quickly threw down color on top of some black and white comp studies from a previous post. And to be honest, I think I prefer the black and white version, but figured it's still worthwhile to experiment with color. Still learning here.

DS Sketches 02

Just another set of DS sketches/studies. Hopefully you guys don't get sick of seeing these things as I'll probably be posting a lot more of them in the coming months...or until whenever I get tired of doing them. I'm sure most of you know already, but there is a gallery full of these little DS paintings done by folks that have been messing with Colors a lot longer than I have. You can check those out here.

Also having a bit of fun doing more linear type drawings on it as well. Looks like Brain Age 2 and Flash Focus will have to be collecting dust for a while longer. -_-

So I finally jumped on the DS Colors bandwagon recently. After a few initial hiccups trying to install the thing, I have been enjoying this new toy and trying different things with it. No complaints here. The only complaining is probably coming from my sister wondering when will I ever return the DS back to her. O_o

"As You Were" is the title of a short video by James P. Wong. My little contribution to this project was to provide the storyboards. They were done very quickly and simply...but were still helpful in the creation of this video.
